The only soft and soft play rentals for a party are in a football stadium! Chester’s Den is a soft play based in Chesterfield Football Club. This is a smaller soft play equipment area with slides and rope swings, and there is also a particular sensory room with sensory play equipment at the bottom level of the play frame.

• Avoid Peak Hours: Consider booking during off-peak times for a more relaxed experience and potentially cheaper hour rental.
• Child’s Schedule: Choose a time that fits well with your child’s nap schedule to ensure they are at their best.

Send Invitations

• Theme: If you have a theme, incorporate it into your invitations.
• RSVP: Include RSVP details to manage numbers and dietary requirements.
• Format: Decide between digital invites and traditional paper ones. Many venues also supply these for you, so you can save any additional hard work for your Party.

Decorations and Themes

• Venue Coordination: Some venues offer themed decorations, so check what’s included in your package size. • Many venues will include party bags, but if you are creating your own, this can be expensive. A kid’s book or bubble tube and a cone of sweets are typically the cheapest options. Just buy some of the plastic cone bags off Amazon and fill them with a selection of sweets. Most parents will be grateful instead of the stranded plastic tattoo of a goody bag that costs a fortune.
• We also used to have theme birthdays for my little ones, and they got to keep their superhero masks or Harry Potter homemade wands as well, saving you money, but the kids loved it!

Tips for a Smooth Party

• Supervision: Ensure enough adults are present to supervise the children. You can always request on the invitations that parents need to stay or not as not all parents will depending on the ages of the children.
• Siblings: While no parent would expect you to cover the cost of guest siblings, you could always check with the venue beforehand and mention in your invites that although you have limited places, siblings are welcome to come along and soft play for the entrance cost. This can be a big help for single parents or parents with a range of ages to look after.
• Safety Briefing: Most good venues will give a quick safety briefing for you and the kids
• First Aid: All soft play centres should have a first aid kit. However, I always used to bring some bumps back to help with any knocked heads.
• Stay Hydrated: Provide plenty of water and encourage kids to take breaks, as all that cake, sugar, and excitement can lead to overstimulated and over-tired children.
