This has quickly become one of the best-known strawberry-picking destinations in Nottinghamshire and for a reason! Families can wander through rows of strawberries before heading off to explore Southwell or grab an ice cream nearby.
Later in the year the farm becomes famous for its sunflower experience fields and pumpkin picking events, making it worth following all year round. You have until the 28th June to get there!

A few things we’ve learnt from experience:

- Wear sensible shoes.
- Take wipes for sticky fingers and make sure the kids have old clothes on for those strawberry stains
- Bring sun cream.
- Don’t plan anything too rushed afterwards, make it the focus for the whole day so you can relax and enjoy
- Expect the children to eat at least a handful before they reach the punnet.
Mum’s Top Tip: How to Remove Strawberry Stains
If your children are anything like mine, strawberry picking usually ends with at least one strawberry stain on a favourite top!
The good news is that fresh strawberry stains often come out surprisingly well if you tackle them quickly. Rinse the stain with cold water as soon as possible (avoid hot water as it can set the stain), then rub in a little washing-up liquid or stain remover before popping it in the wash. For stubborn stains, try soaking the item in cold water for 30 minutes before washing as normal.
My biggest tip? Don’t leave strawberry-stained clothes sitting in the washing basket. Trust me, that’s when they become much harder to shift!

Two Simple Kid-Friendly Strawberry Recipes
Strawberry Yogurt Bark:
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Greek yogurt
- 1 cup sliced strawberries
- 1/4 cup granola
Instructions:
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, stir the Greek yoghurt until smooth.
- Spread the Greek yoghurt evenly onto the prepared baking sheet, forming a thin layer.
- Arrange the sliced strawberries on top of the yoghurt layer.
- Sprinkle the granola over the strawberries, pressing them gently into the yoghurt.
- Place the baking sheet in the freezer and freeze for 2-3 hours or until the yoghurt bark is completely frozen.
- Once frozen, remove the bark from the freezer and break it into pieces.
- Serve immediately as a delicious and nutritious snack.
Strawberry Banana Popsicles:
Ingredients:
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- Two ripe bananas, peeled and sliced
- 1/4 cup orange juice
Instructions:
- Combine the fresh strawberries, sliced bananas, and orange juice in a blender.
- Blend the mixture until smooth and well combined.
- Pour the strawberry banana mixture into popsicle moulds, filling each mould almost to the top.
- Insert popsicle sticks into each mould.
- Place the popsicle moulds in the freezer and freeze for at least 4-6 hours or until the popsicles are completely frozen.
- Once frozen, remove the popsicles from the moulds by running warm water over the outside of the moulds for a few seconds.
- Serve the homemade strawberry banana popsicles immediately, and enjoy!
